The Client

A global telecom company based in Dallas, TX. that provides wireless communications, local exchange, and long-distance service.

The client’s wireless segment offers wireless voice, data, text, and other services to approximately 10 million subscribers. The wireline segment has served roughly 12 million retail consumers, 10 million retail businesses, and 2 million wholesale access lines.

The Challenge

The client needed a particular mix of business analysis and RPA implementation skills in its consultants. This was the only way to implement the intended initiatives dequately.

It wasn’t easy to find software engineers who also had senior experience with RPA. The client had outsourced contractor RPA positions to 3 different vendors. These vendors helped find some RPA initiatives but hadn’t yet helped yield considerable savings overall. They also did not create a close relationship with stakeholders.

Our Solution

Nearshore Staff Augmentation

The client identified talent with the required technical experience, English level, and soft skills needed for the roles within a turnaround time of 15 days. The client began by onboarding 5 Mexican RPA engineers and one business analyst (BA). They emerged with a refined approach and started delivering RPA workshops.

The Results

1.- The company’s overall direct and indirect savings totaled approximately USD 500,000.

2.- The client obtained an ROl after nine months, including software licenses, consultant payroll, training, and hardware infrastructure.

3.- Our team found that 15 different main stakeholders’ roles had RPA initiatives. 78% of PA initiatives yielded direct savings. Out of the total PA initiatives population, our team found that directors (46%) and managers (37%) were the most common roles to have initiatives. Marketing (65%) and HR (42%) presented the highest rate of actual automation opportunities.

4.- Our team performed 715 direct interactions and held 140 interviews with a population of 172 stakeholders.
